What Happens to Your Tyres

From Your Yard to a New Use

Collected and Sorted

We collect from your farm with a vehicle sized to the job, from a pickup for a handful of tyres to an artic for thousands. Tyres are sorted into car, agricultural, lorry and track on arrival.

01

Checked, Then Shredded

Sound tyres may go for reuse. The rest are shredded into rubber crumb for surfaces such as sports pitches and playgrounds, or used as a fuel in cement kilns.

02

Steel Recovered

The steel from tyre beads and belts is separated and recycled too, so nothing goes to landfill.

03

Why It Has to Be Done This Way

Whole and shredded tyres have been banned from landfill in the UK since 2006, and dumping or burning them is an offence. Collection by an authorised carrier for recycling or recovery is the only legal route.

Landfill Ban Since 2006

Tyres cannot go to landfill – they must be recycled or recovered.

Paperwork Provided

You get a record of the collection for your farm records.
